Today marks a half year of praise for the 365 Days of Praise Challenge! I am not only celebrating this but also celebrating an answer to prayer. My sister yesterday emailed me that she had finally heard from her son who has been out in the world without communication for many weeks. She got a phone call from him and found out he is in Kentucky, got a job and has been going to a church for a month. We were praying the Lord would help guide him back on a path that included Him. Praise God for hearing our hearts and helping lead this lost sheep back to his shepard. Do you have someone you know who has lost their way or has never been on the journey with the Lord? Keep praying and keep trying to be an example of what having Jesus in your life can be.
1John 5:14-15 This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us--whatever we ask--we know that we have what we asked of him.

365 Days of Praise Challenge-Day 150
A friend of mine at work knows of 4 year old girl who has been battling brain cancer. At the time I first heard about it several months ago, it was not looking very good but I put in a prayer request at church and know that lots of others having been prayer for this little girl. I got the wonderful news today. She is in remission! Praise the Lord!!!! Only God can work such miracles. So no matter how hopeless things may feel, keep praying and ask others to pray for you. God hears our prayers and in his time will answer them.

365 Days of Praise Challenge-Day 131
Last night as I prayed with the family in Faith's room as is our custom, Faith interrupted saying can I say something. I had forgot she likes to say her little prayer, "I love you God, I love you Jesus, I love you Holy Spirit" "please keep us healthy and safe throughout the night". That is her normal prayer but she added in a very excited way. "and please, please let us have a snow day" and without any hesitation Tristan chimed in with agreement. You never know what you will get with weather here in the Spring so we wouldn't know until the morning. Well God answered their prayers and has given them a snow day. It's not a lot of snow out there but it could accumulate throughout the day so... It is just a joy to see the excitement a snow day brings. What I would give to be back in school and not working?! Well, I will take that joy of theirs and let it seep into my heart even though I have to battle the roads and head to work.

365 Days of Praise Challenge-Day 52
Opportunities are all around us. We live in a country and are blessed to have all these opportunities and freedoms within our grasp but we have to be open to them and grab on. I lost a scrapbooking client back in the fall. I did 10 pages a month for her for 2 years. It was a nice little extra income that has been missed. Since she decided to get back to doing it herself with her new basement all finished, I have been praying for God to lead me to an opportunity that would fill in that gap of the missing income. I met a very nice guy at the one and only craft fair I did in December who was super animated and excited to find someone interested to do his family scrapbooks. I met with him yesterday and it went very well. It won't be the same kind of committment or money I made from my last client but I didn't want to have the pressure of getting 10 pages done in a month and he is open to however long it takes within reason, of course. So, God has answered yet another prayer. I am thankful and praising God for this answer and opportunity and hope that what I do for this guy and his family with his scrapbooks will be a blessing to them.
